We have been a SmartWay logistics partner since 2008 in an effort to improve fuel efficiency and positively impact the environment. Ryan Transportation has implemented the following initiatives to advance the goals of the SmartWay program and spread awareness:

• Ryan Transportation places significant weight on participation in the SmartWay program when selecting third party carriers. We also frequently communicate the value of the program when communicating with carriers.
• We advertise SmartWay information within the Carriers section of our website and include information about the program on some carrier literature.
• We have created pages within our shipping guide that help shippers learn how they can improve their fuel efficiency.

We have made big improvements in the area of fuel efficiency, our environmental impact and our participation in the SmartWay program over the past year, and will continue to push to make Ryan Transportation and our partners more efficient and environmentally friendly.
